Anodised Aluminium Treatment

Whenever you see metals in a vibrant colour, this can often mean they have an ‘Anodised Treatment’. A typical procedure usually involves immersing the metal in a diluted solution of sulphuric acid. This process, despite the often harmful nature of such a substance, leads to the augmentation of the natural oxide layer on the metal, adding greater protection.

The durable layer now covering the metal, becomes a vital aspect of the aluminium, ensuring ultimate resistance to peeling or flaking. Anodised aluminium not only provides substantial protection but also ensures visually pleasing aluminium finishes. 

To further enhance this process, aluminium has the capacity to be highly polished, chemically brightened and anodized to achieve a crisp, mirror-like finish that is reminiscent of chrome. While the cost-effectiveness of natural satin silver makes this option typically more popular, the world of anodised aluminium treatment offers a wide range of colours including black, bronze, gold, red, green, blue and even pink!

Powder Coating Aluminium Treatment

Powder coating, often used as a durable treatment for alloy wheels, is essentially a solvent-free form of paint application. Perfect for outdoor uses, this technique provides exceptional ultraviolet (UV) shielding and possesses a standard thickness of 60 to 80 microns. When applied correctly by our highly skilled team, powder coating will provide impressive durability, potentially lasting between 15 and 20 years. 

When it comes to powder coating colour choice, the process can encompass a range of RAL colours, offering a comprehensive selection of extrusion finishes. Your choice of gloss level becomes very important at this stage, with options that include matte, semi-gloss, or high-gloss. As a final option, you can request the application of textured paint to add an additional element of uniqueness to your extrusion.
